The Region of South Aegean is one of the thirteen administrative districts of Greece. It administratively includes the island clusters of the Cyclades and the Dodecanese, located at the southeastern edge of Greece and the European Union, based in Ermoupolis, Syros. The Region has a total area of 5,286 square kilometers and covers 4% of the total area of the country.
